Samay Hostel

… is a lovely place where people from all over the world come together and have the opportunity to connect. We, Jenny and Sarah, had the chance to work here for the last two weeks and we for sure enjoy our decision.

Especially the people we work with are very welcoming and understanding, since they are experienced with interns. Besides us two HAK students there are also two boys, one from England and one from Italy, and two other girls, one from Germany and one from Italy, who work here during their summer break.

Our tasks include doing check in/outs, preparing and managing the breakfast buffet, helping the cleaning ladies with making the beds, talking to guests and explaining the city map to them and even cleaning the floors and walls. The work atmosphere is relaxed and many times we do not have to work the full 6 hours which we are supposed to, but can go home one or two hours earlier.

Although it is an unpaid internship, we enjoy our time here collecting some work experience and improving our Spanish and if any of you consider traveling to Andalusia and spending some time in Seville we recommend you to stay at the Samay Hostel.
