Primeros días en Sevilla

I arrived at my host family's place a few days ago. The weather has been quite nice with only 40 degrees outside. Getting prepared for my trip was a piece of cake: My stuff was already packed since I just had gotten back from Berlin. My desire to go abroad and experience something new was bigger than ever and above all: My trip gave me the opportunity to leave school a week earlier.😊

My first impression of Spain is thoroughly positive. I already have the feeling that the people here are extremely positive and in love with life. Additionally, it is remarkable how helpful the people around me already have been on my first day at the airport: To save money I decided to take the bus to my host family's apartment. I was sure that Google Maps would help me to find my way. However, waiting for my luggage at the baggage claim, I noticed that my phone didn’t work properly. I must have looked really desperate as a nice lady came up to me to tell me where to go. After that my host family welcomed me with open arms and after a little chat I was ready to take my first "siesta".

On Monday I prepared for my first day of work. After clearing up all the questions I had regarding my stay in Seville I went to BORU Spain S.L., which will be my working place for the next four weeks, with my coordinator.

First I couldn't believe that I would really be working here, with all the food stalls and la Giralda, which is a must-see in Seville in front of my office. Now I spend my time trying out all the different food, regretting that I chose three meals a day at my host family's.

Great first post. Oh no - such great food! Can you change to 2 meals a day from next week?? You could ask the agency. Have fun!
