Our trip to Brighton started on Saturday 29th June, as we wanted to avoid getting in hurry by not coming one day before the first workday. After a couple hours of travelling we finally arrived in Brighton in the late afternoon. On our way from Heathrow airport in London to our accommodation we experienced the traffic on Britain's motorways. The situation on British roads is really tough and people seem to be stressed out all the time. As a result there were three accidents on the highway to Brighton.
Then we finally arrived at our host family's premises. Of course, Julian, but especially me, was nervous about it. Despite all the doubts we got lucky and are now staying in a lovely family with two little children, a girl called Lily and here younger brother Max for four weeks. To be honest, I haven't been speaking a lot in English before our trip to Brighton, so I had some problems with pronunciation and vocabulary at first. We stayed a little while at the family to get to know each other better. I have to admit that I still need to improve my English skills a lot but I hope I can make progress in these four weeks.
In the evening we met with a couple of our classmates at the pier of Brighton which is a very important part of the city. It's the perfect place to chill out with friends even if it gets cold at night as a result of the wind.
