After a long journey we (Kathi and I) finally arrived at the AirBnB in the city center of Dublin where we chose to stay the first 2 nights of our trip. Hungry after a three hour flight, we decided to visit a typical Irish pub, but as those are merely visited by tourists the prices were quite high. Nevertheless it was a really nice first evening accompanied by Irish folk music.
As our accommodation was directly in the city center, we went to the typical tourist sights on Saturday. We were really lucky to have nice weather on our first weekend here so we were able to walk in the sun. As we noticed on Sunday public transportation is really expensive, we had to buy a card for 10 € in order to put money on it, so for one ride with one bus we have to pay 2,50€ when we take a second bud after that we „only“ have to pay 1,50€, so basically we will have to pay 8€ per day just for going to work and back home.
On Sunday we took the bus to our host Carmel, she is very kind and the house is lovely. We are living in the suburbs which is great on the one hand as there is a huge park right next to the house but on the other hand it is a little bit inconvenient as we need rather long into the city center.
Tomorrow we have our first meeting with the agency and are going to get detailed information about our internship.

Good luck to you both! We were warned that Dublin is expensive: it looks like you are proving that it’s true.
