Trip to the Game of Thrones sets – Mdina

Hey guys,

Our first week (out of 4) is over and I am going to talk about the trips we did at the weekend. I think Felix already told you about the day at St. Peters Pool and going out in Paceville so I write about our trip to Mdina, the filming location of Game of Thrones.

The trip started early in the morning after a long night in Paceville. So we used the one and a half hour bus drive for a very long power nap. Our first stop was a little restaurant with a beautiful balcony, where you could see literally over the whole island. Refreshed we walked down the streets looking for all the different filming spots of Game of Thrones.

After a while we noticed the decorated streets, which led to a big church with a flower decorated place where many markets sold sweets and other goodies. Later we got told that once a year every church has its own fiest with loads of firework and one thing you have to know about Malta is that every town, no matter how big it is, has at least one church. As a result you can hear almost every day a fireworks explosion.

So that’s it for now. Keep you updated
