work and socializing in Malta

Time passes, it’s time for another blog entry.

During the week we work for eight hours/day at the General Softdrinks Company. It’s the biggest bottling company for Coca Cola, Monster Energy and various kinds of beer in Malta. Our work is still more physical nature than office work but our colleagues are really nice. It’s a mix of people all over the world. We work together with people from Malta, Africa, Asia and different European countries. I think this is the first time in my life that I am in a non-German speaking country and I don’t have to explain everybody the difference between Australia and Austria.

After work we still have enough time to do something with our roommates, the group of students we met at the agency’s meeting or Lukas and Josef, who finally arrived in Malta.

In Valletta, the capital of Malta, we booked a tour through the Museum. It’s about the whole story of Malta. From crusades, over the order of Saint John’s till both world wars and which role Malta played in it. Afterwards we enjoyed the view of the sun going down from a local restaurant. And that was the end of a pleasant evening.
