The last week already started and I hardly believe that there are only five more nights until I arrive at home. The last week was full of action and wonderful sights.
On Monday the week started as usual with work and went on like this till Wednesday.
Thursday was a public holiday in Malta, where Leo and I went once again to Imġiebaħ Bay, where it was way too windy to go into the sea but still stunning to see.
In the evening Julia, Max our Finish roomies and I went to the Summer Daze festival near Mosta, it is incredible how alcohol can connect people (short reminder: alcohol is still bad).
On the weekend Leo and I went to Gozo. First, we went to Victoria the main city, there we visited the Citadella, which is similar to the fortress in Salzburg.
There were some small museums like an old prison, which was pretty nice for the middle age, I mean the inmates even got meat and fish every second day and had to bath every day in the morning, which doesn`t sound too bad for me.
After that, we went through some other constructs in the Citadella like some silos (Leo would have been way too tall for the medieval).
After some sightseeing, we decided to seek the sea.
Moreover, we caught a bus to Dwejra Bay, where you could see the remains of the azure window, which collapsed in 2017. Although the window broke down it was still a gorgeous place to be, especially the blue hole which you can see in the following pictures.
Besides that, we could also spot the location where the wedding ceremony of Daenerys and Khal Drogo took place. (really nice scene for all Game of Thrones fans).
Nevertheless, the journey took pretty long it was worth a visit.
The following day we met up in Marsaxlokk with a few guys from Leos host family, to visit the fish market, which takes place every Sunday. Afterward, we went to St.Peter’s Pool, a small bay with a few cliffs.
All in all, it was a gorgeous weekend with many impressions and great fun. I am looking forward to my next adventure in Malta.
