Otra semana emocionante ha terminado. Mi tercera semana fue variada y memorable. El lunes por la noche, fuimos al bar "Paradiso", que, según el letrero a la entrada, es uno de los “Top 50 Bars worldwide”. De hecho, había un ambiente impresionante y cócteles extravagantes, solo el mío no me gustaba nada... Después, fuimos a la playa/al puerto y dimos un pequeño paseo.
El martes, nos reunimos todos de nuevo en la playa y por la tarde hicimos un picnic junto al mar. El ambiente era muy guay y Paul pudo capturar la escena con su dron.
El Mercado de la Boqueria estaba en la agenda del miércoles. Queríamos probar muchos diferentes platos y tapas en los numerosos stands del mundialmente conocido mercado de Barcelona y cenar así, pero por desgracia el mercado cerraba ya a las 20:00. No llegamos hasta las 19:50. Cerrar a las 20h me parece muy temprano para los estándares españoles... Sea como sea, en lugar del mercado local, fuimos a un lugar más internacional: KFC. Después de la cena, terminamos el día con una copa en la playa.
Otro “Highlight” de la semana fue la visita al teatro el viernes. Noblemente vestidos, sentamos en los asientos más baratos del impresionante teatro. Por sólo 17 euros vimos el internacionalmente conocido musical “My Fair Lady”, que afortunadamente para nosotros estaba en inglés. Si no entendíamos algo en inglés, también había una traducción al CATALÁN – que por supuesto fue de gran ayuda para nosotros *ironía*.
Pasamos el sábado haciendo turismo (p. ej. Arc de Triomphe, Parc de la Ciutadella, Palau Nacional, Las Arenas, etc.) y el domingo con una excursión a la encantadora ciudad portuaria de Sitges.

We wanted to try out many different dishes and tapas at the numerous stands of Barcelona’s world-famous market and have dinner that way, but unfortunately the market closed already at 20:00. We only arrived at 19:50. Closing at 20:00 seems quite early to me compared to Spanish standards… Anyway, instead of the local market, we went to a more international place: KFC :) After dinner, we ended the day with a drink in a bar near the beach.
Another highlight of the week was the visit to the theatre on Friday. Nobly dressed, we sat in the cheapest seats of the impressive theatre. For only 17 euros we saw the internationally known musical "My Fair Lady", which fortunately for us was in English! If we didn't understand something in English, there was also a translation into CATALAN - which of course was of great help to us *not*.
We spent Saturday sightseeing (e.g. Arc de Triomphe, Parc de la Ciutadella, Palau Nacional, Las Arenas, etc.) and Sunday with an excursion to the charming port town of Sitges.
What a week!
