Week 1 in Cork - Marie

Hi guys, it's me again!

My first week here was full of new impressions and emotions. As I arrived one day after the planned date - I missed my connection flight from Amsterdam to Cork due to a 4h-delay - a few things had to get re-organised.

Due to those difficulties on the first day I got to enjoy one evening in Amsterdam - it was great! Luckily, I didn't have to spend the evening alone as I've met a german girl on the plane. She missed her connection flight to Cork as well so we decided to make the best out of the situation!

After finally arriving in Cork, I got picked up at the airport by my host-mum. At my accommodation are three other students around my age which is awesome. That way I was able to meet new people right away.

My first week at work was amazing, too! I work at the "Cork City Learning Support Services" in the administration. I had to do different kinds of office-activities so far. My co-workers are lovely and I really enjoy working here!

On the weekend I met up with the german girl from the plane - her name's Janina - and strolled through the city with one of my schoolmates Maria.

I'm already falling in love with Cork.
