Week 2 in Cork - Marie

Hi again!

My second week in Cork was full of exciting trips and adventures!

It started off with a trip to Mizen Head - the most southerly point of Ireland - on Monday. I went there with some of my co-workers and it was great. After that, I got to try my first "99" here, which is ice cream with a chocolate-stick in it. It was great but it felt like rolling rather than walking back home after such a dense "snack"!

My week at work was great  but not too special. On Wednesday, I met up with two classmates who went home on Saturday and had a great chat. It was awesome seeing them here in Cork before seeing them in school in Austria.

I completely forgot to tell you about the amazing gym in the city centre! It has SIX FLOORS and I lost myself there a couple of times but it's AWESOME!!!

My weekend was absolutely amazing! I took the bus to Galway and got to spend a night there! I went out for ice cream (again) with Janina - the girl I've met in Amsterdam - as she spent two days there, too. In the evening it was crowded in the city centre of Galway and people were laughing and chatting all night long! I loved it and would definitely like to go there again!

When I arrived back in Cork, I was very tired and went to bed early!

In the pictures below you can see the view from Mizen Head, a few pictures from my trip to  Galway and some other random impressions from my second week. :)
